Cowboys Continue Houston Workouts

The Cowboys worked for 2 1/2 hours in the Houston Texans Indoor facility. The indoor practice facility kept the Cowboys out of frequent heavy rain that moved through south Texas Monday.
"We had another good day," Miles said after the workout. "We continue to accomplish things we need to accomplish to get ready for a very good Southern Miss team."
A familiar face dropped by OSU's Monday workout. Hart Lee Dykes, a 1988 All-American who currently lives in the Houston area, watched the entire practice. Dykes still owns OSU's career receiving record but his single-season records were broken this season by junior Rashaun Woods.
After Monday's practice the Cowboys and Southern Miss took part in the Houston Bowl Welcome Fest. Both teams were treated to a barbeque dinner. OSU's Tuesday schedule calls for an 8 a.m., workout followed by a public function at Kemah Boardwalk, a local attraction.
The Cowboys and Southern Miss will meet Friday at noon in the third annual Houston Bowl. The game will be played at Reliant Stadium, the home of the NFL Texans. OSU players got their first glimpse of Reliant Stadium in a brief tour after Monday's workout.
