OSU Career: Lindquist competed in the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the third time in her career in 2001 ... she finished 24th at regionals and was the fourth Cowgirl to score in the NCAA Championships ... in 2000 Lindquist finished seventh in the Cowboy Jamboree ... she placed sixth in the midwest regional, qualifying her to compete at nationals ... at nationals she ran strong in 76th position ... sat out most of the 1999 cross country season with stress fractures in her feet ... was the 1999 Big 12 indoor champion in the mile ... finished third in outdoor in the 1500-meter ... earned All-American honors in 1999 at the indoor national meet ... finished fifth at the Big 12 Championships in cross country in 1998 ... was named the Big 12 newcomer of the year in 1998.
Previous Experience: In cross country Lindquist won the Swedish nationals in 1994 ... she was a Swedish junior champion nine times in track ... finished fifth at the Nordic Championships in 1998 ... has won fifteen Swedish national championship gold medals.
Personal: Born on July 16, 1979 ... she is majoring in international business ... she enjoys reading and traveling ... Alexandra has one sister, Veronica (23) and one brother, Richard (15) ... she is the daughter of Barbro and Lars-Ake Lindquist.
