Cowgirls Take Third At Big Wave Invitational

Oklahoma State's women's cross country team came in third-place with a total score of 89 at the Big Wave Invitational on Saturday. They were beaten out by UCLA who claimed the top spot with a team score of 46, while the University of Hawaii-Manoa clinched second-place with a score of 88.
Junior Ami Butler led the Cowgirls with a fourth-place finish. She ran the 5K course with a time of 19:04. Junior Marie Nilsson was right behind her finishing in sixth-place with a time of 19:11. Senior Alexandra Lindquist, junior Catherine Clifford and junior Sharalee Sparks finished 19th, 33rd and 34th, respectively.
The Cowgirls will have next weekend off as they prepare to host the 65th annual Cowboy Jamboree.
