Cowgirl Cross Country Season Opener

Oklahoma State's women's cross country team will start the 2002 season at the Wichita State Gold Classic, Saturday, Sept. 7 in Augusta, Kan.
Returning are senior Alexandra Lindquist, junior Marie Nilsson, sophomore Valentina Medina and junior Catherine Clifford. Nilsson, a native of Kil, Sweden, earned All-Big 12 honors last year. Last season the cowgirls finished second in the Big 12 and 18th in the national meet.
"It is going to be a test run and we will see how it goes," head coach Catrina Acosta said.
