Cowboys Open Spring Season In Hawaii

Oklahoma State opens the spring portion of its men's golf season when the Cowboys compete in the 24th annual John A. Burns Intercollegiate on Wednesday through Friday.
Fifth-ranked OSU, one of six ranked teams in the 17-team field, is led by third-ranked Charles Howell and No. 20 Edward Loar. The Cowboys will compete in the tournament at the Leilehua Golf Course.
The teams in the event will play three 18-hole rounds on Leilehua's 6,916-yard, par-72 track.
OSU finished second in the event last year, when it was played at Kaneohe Klipper; Howell finished second, and Loar was fourth. OSU finished third in the Burns Intercollegiate in 1998 but won the tournament in 1995 and 1997.
