Cowboys Finish Fifth at Cleveland/Williams Intercollegiate

The Cowboys, whose first-round score of 307 was their first over 300 this year, carded a 296 in Monday's second round and a 294 in the final round but was unable to move higher in the standings. Georgia led wire to wire in taking home the team trophy with a score of 876, 21 strokes ahead of OSU.
Third-ranked Charles Howell led the team individually, ending seventh for his sixth top-10 finish in this year's seven tournaments. Howell's 3-over-par score of 219 was six strokes behind the tournament's medalist, the Bulldogs' Ryuji Imada.
Landry Mahan (16th, 224) joined Howell in the top 20 individually. Anders Hultman (23rd, 227), Edward Loar (32nd, 229) and Nick Seymour (56th, 235) rounded out the team's individual scoring, while Bret Guetz (61st, 237) competed as an individual.
