Cowboys Complete First Day In Hawaii

Oklahoma State's sixth-ranked golf team sits in 16th place after the first day of play at the John Burns Intercollegiate in Honolulu.

The Cowboys shot an 18-hole total of 298, 10-over-par, putting them 23 strokes behind first-round leader Stanford.

Junior Anders Hultman led the Cowboys, firing a two-under-par total of 70. Hultman finished the front nine in fine fashion, carding a 32 before finishing his round with a score of 38 on his last nine holes. Hultman will start play Thursday in 15th place.

A trio of Cowboys; Peter Davidson, Matt McQuillan and P·r Nilsson shot 4-over totals of 76 to finish the day in 66th.

Boyd Summerhays rounded out the OSU scoring, posting a 78.

OSU will continue play tomorrow on the par-72 Leleihua Golf Course.
