Cowboy Golf In Second Place at Morris Williams Intercollegiate

The Cowboys' 16-under total places them four shots behind tournament host Texas, who carded rounds of 277 and 279 to sit atop the team leaderboard. OSU will enter tomorrow morning's final round 13 shots clear of Arizona State and UNLV.
Six teams; Texas A&M, Arkansas, Fresno State, Houston, Baylor and New Mexico, were unable to complete play on Monday due to darkness.
The Longhorns' J.J. Wall paced the individual charge with a 36-hole total of 10-under-par, while Cowboy junior Hunter Mahan carded rounds of of 68 and 69 to end the day tied for fourth at 137, seven-under.
Fellow junior Pär Nilsson bettered par by five shots on Monday, turning in rounds of 69 and 70 to finish the day tied for seventh place at 139.
True freshman Chris Clarke and sophomore Alex Norén carded totals of 144 to end play knotted for 26th place. The duo rebounded from opening rounds of 74 and 73, respectively, with afternoon scores of 70 and 71 to get back to level par.
Redshirt freshman Zack Robinson will enter play tomorrow tied for 35th place after recording scores of 70 and 76 to stand at two-over-par.
The 18-team field will begin its final round at Austin Country Club at the conclusion of the second round.
