Thompson's 321 Yards Bury Baylor

Thompson carried 41 times and scored on TD runs of five yards in the second quarter, 54 yards in the third quarter and 33 yards in the final period. The senior finished his career with 4,318 yards, third on the school's all-time list behind Thurman Thomas and Terry Miller.
Tone Jones was 14-of-20 for 157 yards and a 44-yard scoring toss to Terrance Richardson in the second period for the Cowboys (5-7, 2-6 Big 12), who snapped a three-game losing streak and beat Baylor at home for the first time since 1972.
Jeff Watson was 13-of-27 for 147 yards and a score for Baylor (4-7, 1-7), which had won five of its seven all-time visits to Stillwater. The Bears and three other Southwest Conference teams joined the Big Eight, forming the Big 12.
Watson threw a one-yard TD pass to Chad Chmelar midway through the first quarter, but Thompson's first score came on the opening play of the second period and began a run of 24 straighth Oklahoma State points. Brian Aikens had a one-yard TD run and Tim Sydnes kicked a 26-yard field goal in the second quarter and Jones found Richardson 3:10 into the third quarter.
Kyle Atteberry kicked a 27-yard field goal for Baylor, but Thompson raced 54 yards for a score to give OSU a 30-10 lead. Elijah Burkins and Thompson traded touchdowns in the final four minutes.
