Q&A With Elbert Craig
April 14, 2003 | Cowboy Football
What are your post college football aspirations? My dream is to go to the next level in football, but if not that, I major in general business and I want to own a couple of businesses.
Is there anyone in particular that you try to model your game after? Someone like Darren Woodson of the Dallas Cowboys because he can hit and cover.
How would you like to be remembered in OSU football history? Just as somebody who tried to help the team win.
What is your favorite coverage or defensive scheme to run? One where I get to blitz, get back there and hit the quarterback.
How will the defense improve in its second season under Bill Clay? I think it's going to improve because everybody is going to know what everybody is supposed to do at each position. We know much more about the defense than last year.
Do you enjoy having a difficult schedule? Yes, if want to be considered the best you have to play against best, so I like our schedule.
Who has been your biggest inspiration in your life to this point? My dad and mom. They've been there for me good and bad, bringing me up. Most kids don't have a dad and a mom at home, so I'm just thankful to have them in my life.
