Eight Claim Academic All-Big 12 Honors

Eaton, who has started all season for the Cowboys at left tackle, is a graduate student from Rogers, Texas and has maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout his college career.
Eaton and Cowboy teammate Billy Bajema were two of just seven student-athletes who were nominated to the squad with 4.0 grade point averages. Along with Eaton and Bajema, other Cowboys earning first team honors were Paul Duren, John Wohlgemuth, Jonathan Hayhurst and Adonis Brewer.
Earning second team recognition on the Academic All-Big 12 team were Saul Talley and Dustin Vanderhoof.
Nominated by each institution's director of student-athlete support services, the football academic all-league squad consists of 96 first-team members and 64 on the second team. First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, while the second team are those who have a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
