Cowboys Prevail over Baylor, 24-14

The Cowboys (8-3, 5-3 Big-12) won for the first time in Waco, after having dropped the previous five meetings in the series, which dates back to 1915. Oklahoma State still trails the all-time series 11-6 but has posted victories in four of the last six meetings.
The Cowboys, who opened the season at 6-0, won for just the second time in their last five games.
Brown's three-yard touchdown run 6:57 into the game gave Oklahoma State a 7-0 lead and Fobbs' nine-yard score with 1:19 left in the period staked the Cowboys to a 14-0 advantage. Fobbs finished with 56 yards on 12 carries.
Baylor (2-9, 1-7), losers of three straight, got on the board in the second quarter when Jeff Watson scored from two yards out to cut the deficit to 14-7. Watson completed 8-of-17 passes for 145 yards and three interceptions before being replaced by Odell James.
After a scoreless third quarter, Brian Aikins scored on a
one-yard touchdown plunge 2:52 into the final quarter to increase Oklahoma State's lead to 21-7. Tim Sydnes added a 37-yard field goal with 2:14 left in the contest to make it 24-7.
James found Morris Anderson with a 14-yard TD pass with six seconds remaining to close the scoring. James was 2-of-5 for 30 yards.
The Cowboys, who amassed 342 yards in total offense, pounded out 230 on the ground, led by quarterback Tony Lindsay. Lindsay, who gained 73 yards on 16 carries, also completed 6-of-8 passes for 81 yards. R.W. McQuarters had two catches for 54 yards to pace Oklahoma State's receivers.
Jerod Douglas led Baylor's rushing attack with 49 rushing yards on nine carries and Derrius Thompson was the teams leading receiver with two catches for 79 yards.
