High School: Crews threw the discus in high school ... was the field events MVP for three years ... broke the school record and then eclipsed her own mark two additional times ... was all-conference her last three years in high school ... was second in the state her senior year. Personal: Born on Feb. 15, 1980 ... Crews attended Barton College on a volleyball scholarship and has a cousin who plays college basketball ... she enjoys singing and swimming ... her favorite movie is Braveheart ... was also sought after by Citadel, Catawba College and Lenoir Rhine ... is a graduate student majoring in zoology ... has one brother, Harrison (16) ... she is the daughter of Sam and Jane Crews.
