Cowboys Whip Gophers, 26-6

The Gophers (2-2, 0-0) jumped to an early 3-0 lead when Jared Lawrence decisioned Jerrod Sanders, 8-2.
Fifth-ranked Shane Roller stunned the Minnesota crowd after upsetting the Gopher's top-ranked Luke Becker, 9-5, knotting up the score at 3-3.
The Cowboys (5-0, 2-0) took their first lead of the night when Tyrone Lewis defeated Jacob Volkmann, 7-6.
Chris Pendleton moved his record to 13-0 after decisioning Josh McLay, 7-3, while Jake Rosholt blanked two-time All-American Damion Hahn, 6-0, to record the upset.
The Cowboys' final upset of the night came when Willie Gruenwald decisioned Minnesota's two-time All-American Garrett Lowney, 4-3.
The junior from Skiatook, Okla., was down 3-2 late in the third period, but recorded a takedown with four seconds remaining to notch the win.
Skyler Holman blitzed Bobbe Lowe, 19-5, and Muhammed Lawal dropped Eli Ross, 22-9, each recording the major decision.
Minnesota's only other win of the night came when third-ranked Ryan Lewis knocked off top-ranked Johnny Thompson, 6-5.
With the win, OSU moved the all-time series record against Minnesota to 14-5, and the second in the last three years.
The Cowboys will return to action on Jan. 12 when they host second-ranked and arch-rival Iowa at Gallagher-Iba Arena at 2 p.m.
