Under the watchful eye of third-year head coach Les Miles and his staff, Oklahoma State completed its first of 15 spring football workouts Thursday night on Lewis Field.
The Cowboys went through a sharp, three-hour workout under the lights in shorts and shoulder pads. The initial practice was a fundamental session focusing on all phases of the game.
"It was good to be back on the field," Miles said. "We were certainly able to get some things done but there is still a lot to be accomplished over the rest of the spring."
A number of high school coaches attended Thursday night's workout and that number will increase Friday as the Cowboys host their annual Spring Coaches Clinic. OSU's Friday workout is scheduled to begin at 6:25 p.m.
Oklahoma State will not practice on Saturday.
