Cowboy Wrestling Remains in Lead After Day Two

Jake Rosholt shocked the crowd at the NCAA tournament by defeating OU's Josh Lambrecht, 9-2, and helped the Cowboys stay on atop the standings.
Rosholt dominated the match, scoring a pair of takedowns and a reversal en route to his second victory over Lambrecht this season.
Johnny Thompson became a three-time national finalist after holding on to a 3-2 win over Clarion's Rad Martinez in the semifinals.
Muhammed Lawal couldn't hang on to a 3-2 victory as Minnesota's Damion Hahn scored a takedown with :04 seconds left to take the 4-3 victory.
Tyrone Lewis fell to Lehigh's Troy Letters, 12-7, to drop down to the consolations. Lewis and Letters were tied 4-4 heading into the third frame.
Lewis took a 6-5 lead only to see Letters storm back with a pair of takedowns and a two-point nearfall to secure his spot in the finals.
Shane Roller and Chris Pendleton each won both their consolation matches to stay alive, while Zack Esposito split his matches to end the tournament at 3-2.
Minnesota trails the Cowboys 109-90.5 for second place, while Lehigh is in third with 68 points. Oklahoma and Arizona State rounds out the top five with 65.5 and 54.5 points, respectively.
Tournament action will begin Saturday morning at 9 a.m. at the consolation quarterfinals with the finals beginning at 2:30.
