Oklahoma State Baseball Voted 16th by Baseball America

STILLWATER, Okla. - Oklahoma State's baseball team was voted to a 16th-place ranking according to Baseball America. The Cowboys ended the 1997 season with a record of 46-19, and a final 14th-place finish in the Baseball America poll. Other Big 12 schools ranked are as follows: 8. Texas Tech, 13. Baylor, and 22. Oklahoma. The Cowboys will play two other ranked opponents during the 1998 season. They are as follows: 10. Rice and 23. South Alabama. Oklahoma State was ranked seventh in an earlier preseason poll by Collegiate Baseball. OSU will begin its 1998 season at the Collegiate Sports Classic in Peoria, Ariz. Their first opponent will be Texas Christian.
