Arizona Defeats Oklahoma State 7-4

TUCSON, Ariz.- Arizona used a four-run fourth inning to get past Oklahoma State 7-4 in baseball action Monday afternoon at Sancet Field.
Oklahoma State drops to 3-5 overall and 1-2 on the weekend while Arizona improves to 9-4.
The Wildcats scored two runs in the bottom of the first on RBI singles by Brian Anderson and Richard Mercado to take an early 2-0 lead.
The Cowboys took advantage of two Arizona errors to score three runs in the fourth to take a 3-2 lead. First baseman John Urick had the big hit in the inning, a RBI double to right-center field.
The Wildcats stormed back in the bottom of the fourth with four runs on five hits to take a 6-3 lead. John Hardy and Moises Duran both had RBI hits in the stanza to lead the way.
Arizona added a run in the sixth on a RBI triple by third baseman Brad Boyer to make it 7-3. Cowboy rightfielder Craig Bartosh hit a solo homer in the ninth to close out the scoring in the game.
Sophomore lefthander Spencer Grogan (0-1) took the loss, giving up six runs on seven hits in 3.1 innings of work in his first start of the year.
Oklahoma State will head home and face Cal in the Reynolds Stadium opener next weekend, weather permitting. The Cowboys are scheduled to take on the Bears in a three-game series starting on Friday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m.
