Junior catcher Jason Jaramillo was also tabbed a third-team preseason All-American by the publication.
The Cowboys return five offensive starters from last year's squad, which was one of the top units in the Big 12. OSU finished second in the conference in batting average, homers and slugging percentage.
Jaramillo, a first-team All-Big 12 pick and third-team All-American in 2003, led the team with a .385 batting average, while also popping nine homers with 42 RBIs. Seven of his homers came in league play, where he batted .379 with 26 RBIs in 27 contests.
The Franksville, Wisc., native is considered one of the top catching prospects in the country and played in the prestigious Cape Cod League in the summer, where he helped lead the Orleans Cardinals to the league championship.
Other Big 12 teams ranked in the poll were Texas (No. 5), Baylor (No. 11), Nebraska (No. 20) and Texas A&M (No. 32). Defending national champion Rice manned the top spot followed by Miami, LSU and Georgia Tech.
