Women's Soccer Coach Karen Hancock Earns National Recognition

Each year the award is given to one collegiate and one high school coach whose reputations are recognized as praiseworthy and reflective of the highest standards of professional and ethical behavior.
Hancock led the Cowgirls to a record-setting year on the field in 2003. OSU opened the season with 10 consecutive wins for the second year in row and finished with a program best 15 wins.
The Cowgirls notched their first win over Texas in school history to jumpstart the conference season. Oklahoma State later earned its second trip to the Big 12 Tournament and took full advantage, capturing the Big 12 Championship in a 3-2 double overtime thriller against Missouri.
The incredible season was capped by a first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Hancock will receive the award at the NSCAA convention on Friday, Jan. 16, 2004 in Charlotte, N.C.
