Cowgirl Cross Country Adds Kim Blomkvist To Recruiting Class

Oklahoma State's women's cross country team has signed Strangnas, Sweden native Kim Blomkvist to a National Letter of Intent it was announced Thursday.

“Kim will be a really big help for our cross country team,” said Cowgirl Head Coach Rene Sepulveda. “She will be very competitive for us in Big 12 competition.”

Blomkvist competed at Tbomasgymnasiet High School where she recorded an impressive time of 10:03 in the 3,000 meter run. Earlier this year, Blomkvist was crowned the Swedish Junior Champion in the 4,000 meter run.

In 2002, Blomkvist won the Swedish Junior Championships in the 3,000 meter run and took third in the 1,500 meter race.

Blomkivst will look to compete for the Cowgirls this spring during the track and field season.
