Martin won the British Boys Amateur Championship as a 15-year-old in 2001 and finished as the event's runner-up this past summer. He has an extensive international resumé that includes berths on the Spanish squad at the European Nations Championship and the Continent of Europe Team that vied for the Jacques Legalise Trophy.
A native of Malaga, Spain, Martin's most impressive feat may have come at the Canarias Open de Espana this past April. The 17-year-old, who was attempting to become the first amateur to win a European Tour event, fired a third-round 64 to stand atop the leaderboard with one round remaining before finishing the tournament with a 17-under-par, 271 total to tie for 22nd place.
In each of the past three seasons, Moore has been a first-team AJGA All-American, a Canon Cup participant and has been ranked in the top five in the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index. In 2001, he posted five victories, claiming titles at three national events and two regional events. With his victory at the 2001 Oregon State Men's Amateur, Moore became the youngest champion in the 96-year history of the event.
The Portland, Ore., native posted seven top-10 finishes on the national level in 2002. This past summer, he participated in several prominent men's amateur events, including the Players Amateur in July where he posted a 277, 11-under-par total to tie for third.
