Cassie Lewis Earns National Recognition

Oklahoma State midfielder Cassie Lewis was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week and the Soccer America Team of the Week for her outstanding play at the Big 12 Tournament.

A native of Houston, Texas, Lewis was tabbed the Offensive MVP at the tournament after scoring the game-winning goals in Oklahoma State's first two contests.

Lewis provided all the offense the Cowgirls needed against 12th-ranked Texas and No. 21 Kansas, scoring OSU's lone goal in both contests to propel Oklahoma State into the title game. The Cowgirls went on to win the tournament 3-2 in double overtime against Missouri. Oklahoma State (15-4-3) makes its first appearance in the NCAA Tournament this week, squaring off against Auburn at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
