Soccer Falls 2-0 at Kansas

The Cowgirls fall to 11-4-3 overall and 3-4-3 in league play while Kansas improves to 15-4-1 overall and 6-3-1 in conference contests. OSU will enter the Big 12 Tournament as the No. 7 seed, facing the No. 2 seed, which is yet to be determined, at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
Kansas jumped out to a 1-0 lead 14 minutes into the contest on a goal from Jessica Kilpatrick . Rachel Gilfillan gave the Jayhawks some breathing room, adding the final score in the 62nd minute.
The Cowgirls increased their intensity in the final 25 minutes and outshot KU 5-4 in the second period, but the two-goal defecit was too much to overcome.
Kathrin Lehman had five saves for the Cowgirls. Meghan Miller had three for the Jayhawks.
Oklahoma State closes out the regular season on Sunday, hosting Arkansas for a 1 p.m. tilt at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. OSU's two seniors, Kim Graves and Joanne Edwards, will be honored prior to the contest.
