Kathrin Lehmann Earns National Recognition
October 09, 2003 | Cowgirl Soccer
Oklahoma State goalkeeper Kathrin Lehmann was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week and the Soccer America Team of the Week for her play against Texas A&M and Texas last weekend.
A native of Zurich, Switzerland, Lehmann led the Cowgirls to a 0-0 tie with then-No. 3 Texas A&M and a 3-1 win against Texas.
The junior faced 35 shots and made more saves (14) over the weekend than in the previous 10 games of the season.
Texas' goal on Sunday was just the second Lehmann has surrendered all season and the first since Sept. 19 against Tulsa. She leads the nation with a 0.22 goals-against average.
Oklahoma State (11-0-1, 3-0-1) hits the road for its first conference road trip of the season this weekend, facing Missouri on Friday and Iowa State on Sunday.
