Cowgirls preparing for Auburn Invitational

Cowgirl head coach Rene Sepulveda took the opportunity to monitor the team's 5K times during last Saturday's Cowboy Jamboree at the Oklahoma State cross country course.
'Everyone's times have really improved a lot,' Sepulveda said. 'We ran the 6K but I was at the 5K mark so I was taking times down and everyone is getting quite a bit faster.'
Sepulveda plans to take nine runners to the event, which will begin at 4:30 in the afternoon. This is the last competition for the Cowgirls until the Big 12 Championship in Austin, Texas on Oct. 31.
'This is good meet because it's a large meet and the course is a good course,' Sepulveda said. 'When you start traveling more you get more excited about your competition so it's a meet that should elevate their performance.'
