Cowboy Golf Finishes Eighth at Windon Memorial

The Cowboys finished three shots behind Toledo and 27 strokes behind tournament champion Minnesota, which carded a 288 final round to finish with a five-under-par total of 859.
Purdue's Peter Richardson fired a one-under 71 on Tuesday, giving him a 10-under score of 206 and a five-shot victory. True freshman Casey Wittenberg came in as OSU's top finisher, tying for 13th place with a two-over, 218 total after posting a 73 during the final round of his college debut.
Sophomore Chris Clarke finished with a 54-hole total of 222 after a final-round 76 to tie for 23rd, while fellow sophomore Zack Robinson carded a 73 to tie for 28th place at 223.
A pair of true freshman, Tyler Leon and Zac Reynolds, carded rounds of 78 and 73, respectively, to finish tied for 57th place at 228, 12-over-par. The event also served Reynolds' Cowboy debut.
OSU will return to action on Oct. 13 when it travels to Birmingham, Ala., for the Jerry Pate National Collegiate.
