Soccer Prepares for Final Weekend of Regular Season
October 30, 2003 | Cowgirl Soccer
Oklahoma State closes out the regular season this weekend with a chance to tie the record for season wins (13) set in 2002. The Cowgirls will travel to Kansas for their final conference game of the season at 3 p.m. on Friday and host Arkansas at 1 p.m. on Sunday for Senior Day. Kansas leads the overall series with Oklahoma State 4-1-2. Last year the Jayhawks won 6-0 in Lawrence. OSU's lone win against KU came in 1997 in Lawrence. The Cowgirls lead the all-time series with Arkansas 3-0-0 following a 2-1 win in Fayetteville last year. Oklahoma State clenched a Big 12 Tournament berth for the second straight year following the draw with Oklahoma earlier this week. The Cowgirls will enter the tournament as a six or seven seed, depending on the outcome of Friday's game at Kansas. A win or a tie against the Jayhawks will give the Cowgirl the No. 6 seed while a loss sends OSU to San Antonio with a No. 7 seed.
