Tatum Bell Named Big 12 Offensive Player Of The Week
October 20, 2003 | Cowboy Football
Bell of DeSoto, Texas, had the best game of his career in a 51-49 win over Texas Tech. He rushed 28 times for 238 yards and three touchdowns. The 238 yards is a career high for Bell and the second time this season he has rushed for 200 or more yards in a single game. He also had a 95-yard touchdown run, which was the longest of his career and the third-longest run from scrimmage in OSU football history. Bell's touchdown runs were from 48 yards, 95 yards and five yards. He averaged 8.5 yards per carry. His big day moved him into sixth place on OSU's career rushing chart and No. 7 on the Big 12's all-time list.
Bell has now received the weekly honor twice this season (Sept. 8) and it is the fourth time this year an OSU player has received the weekly nod from the Big 12.
