Clifford leads Cowgirls to top 20 finish at Auburn

Catherine Clifford led all Cowgirl runners with a time of 19:29.48 in her second race of the 2003 season and finished 53rd at Friday's Auburn Invitational. Oklahoma State finished in 17th place among the 30 teams competing.

Katie Kelly cut nearly two minutes off her 5K time at the Wichita State Invitational earlier this season to finish in 109th place at 20:17.98. Freshman Daryl Round finished 115th and Svetlana Vasileva finished 120th.

The Cowgirls will run next at the Big 12 Championship in Austin, Texas on Oct. 31. Oklahoma State hosts the District V Championship at the Oklahoma State Cross Country Course Nov. 15.
