Football Practice Update
August 09, 2002 | Cowboy Football
Aug. 9, 2002
Preseason football workouts continued Friday at Oklahoma State as the Cowboys went through a pair of sessions.
OSU worked for nearly two hours Friday morning and were scheduled for a slightly longer workout Friday afternoon. The Cowboys will face a similar schedule on Saturday with practices scheduled for 8:40 a.m. and 4:35 p.m. Saturday morning's workout will be open to the public while the afternoon session is closed.
Sunday will be a day off from practice sessions but a busy day in other areas. Several recreational activities are planned for the team, including swimming and bowling. The entire team is scheduled to convene at Camp Redlands, outside Stillwater, Sunday evening.
This weekend's activities will lead up to OSU's first full-contact practice sessions, set for Monday. Next week's schedule calls for full pad workouts at 8:40 a.m. and 4:35 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The Cowboys will go through a situational mock game on Wednesday (closed to the public) and will conclude two-a-days with a scrimmage on Saturday, August 17 at 7 p.m., on Lewis Field.
