Newcomers Continue Workouts

With the season opener just 25 days away, Oklahoma State's football newcomers continued two-a-day workouts Tuesday in Stillwater, under the watchful eye of second-year head coach Les Miles.
OSU rookies went through a 90-minute session Tuesday morning on Lewis Field in shorts, jerseys and helmets. OSU's drill will remain padless until Monday. A total of 28 newcomers participated in Tuesday morning's workout.
While the newcomers were practicing, Oklahoma State's veterans were going about the business of reporting back to the Stillwater campus. The Cowboys checked in between and 11 a.m. and noon and were scheduled ot spend the afternoon receiving physicals and equipment.
OSU coaches and players will go through Media Day activities Wednesday morning and will have pre-practice meetings in the afternoon.
The first combined workouts are scheduled for Thursday, August 8. Thursday morning's workout, open to the public, is scheduled for 8:40 on Lewis Field. The afternoon workout, closed to the public, will begin at 4:35.
