Lewis Field, named after popular Oklahoma A&M professor and athletics proponent L.L. Lewis, has been home to the Cowboy football team since 1919. The facility has undergone patchwork expansions and renovations in the past, but in its present condition remains outdated, uncomfortable and unattractive. The message being sent by this dilapidated structure is a negative one, and the condition of the stadium is certainly not indicative of the quality of the university or its people.
