NWCA Honors Roller and Reid for Academic Achievement

Two Oklahoma State wrestlers; Shane Roller and Chad Reid, were honored by the National Wrestling Coaches Association for their achievements in the classroom. Roller was awarded all-academic second team, while Reid received honorable mention.
Roller maintained a 3.248 gpa while studying psychology with a pre-medical option. He placed fourth at the NCAA Wrestling Championships, earning his second All-America honors and finished the year with a 32-7 record.
Reid is studying biology with a pre-medical option and carries a 3.686 gpa. He finished the year with a 20-6 record, while wrestling in tournaments and four duals for OSU.
The team also notched a spot on the NWCA's top-25 all-academic team, with its 2.887 team gpa.
To qualify for the NWCA academic team, an athlete must maintain a 3.0 gpa, meet the athletic requirements, and carry a winning record and/or placement at the conference and NCAA tournaments.
