Cowboy Golf Moves Into Second Place at U.S. Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - Despite carding an eight-over-par score of 296, Oklahoma State's men's golf moved into a two-way tie for second place on Saturday at the U.S. Collegiate.
The Cowboys, who ended the day tied with Arizona with a 36-hole total of 577, will enter tomorrow's final round nine shots behind tournament leader Texas.
Sophomore Hunter Mahan maintained his spot atop the individual leaderboard, following up his school record 62 with a one-over 73 on Saturday. The McKinney, Texas, native will start play tomorrow two strokes ahead of Texas' John Klauk.
Sophomore P?r Nilsson turned in a 75 during his second round to tie with three other players for 12th place with a 36-hole total of 145.
A pair of Cowboys, Anders Hultman and Dayton Rose, are tied for 32nd with a two-day total of 150. Hultman, a senior, posted a 76, while Rose, a freshman, notched his second consecutive 75.
Freshman Alex Nor?n rebounded from a first-round 80 with a one-over 73 to end the day tied for 48th.
OSU will conclude play at the 7,094-yard Tucson National Golf Club with tomorrow morning's final round.
