Oklahoma State closed out spring football workouts with a 100-plus play scrimmage Friday afternoon on a sun-drenched Lewis Field.
There were standouts on both sides of the ball during the controlled scrimmage. Quarterback Aso Pogi completed 15 of 22 passes for 187 yards and tailback Seymore Shaw rushed for 131 yards on 19 carries.
In controlled situations, Pogi tossed seven touchdown passes, including two to wide receiver Willie Young. Tight end Billy Bajema had a touchdown pass, as did Rashaun Woods and John Wohlgemuth hauled in a pair of TD passes.
Shaw and fellow tailback Greg Jones had most of the action out of the backfield. In addition to Shaw's 131 yards, Jones had 58 yards on 21 carries. Four of Shaw's carries went for touchdowns.
"I thought this was a good day," said second-year OSU coach Les Miles. "We had a long workout and were able to accomplish quite a bit. We look forward to getting into the off-season program, getting some of our bumps healed up and getting back on the field in August."
On the defensive side, linebacker Paul Duren had seven tackles while defensive end Greg Richmond had five tackles, two tackles for losses and one sack for minus six yards. Two other OSU defenders registered sacks, including Khreem Smith and LaWaylon Brown.
Freshman quarterback Josh Fields completed eight of 19 passes for 78 yards and a touchdown. Fields has competed in spring drills while also playing baseball for the Cowboys.
OSU's special teams looked sharp during Friday's scrimmage. Darrent Williams had two punt returns for 80 yards and a touchdown and Chris Massey, who led the NCAA in kickoff returns last year, had one return for 38 yards.
