Cowboy Golf Finishes Second at PING-Arizona Intercollegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. - Oklahoma State's men's golf team turned in a 54-hole total of 849, three-under-par, to finish second at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the par-71 Raven at Sabino Springs.
Sophomore Hunter Mahan fired his second consecutive 68 to finish at 10-under-par, two strokes ahead of Fresno State's Nick Watney, and claim his second tournament title as a Cowboy. The Southern California transfer also claimed medalist honors at the Jerry Pate Intercollegiate in October.
OSU closed with a final-round 287, three-over, to finish won stroke behind Fresno State in the team race and three shots better than third-place Pepperdine.
After carding a second-round 67, senior Anders Hultman finished play with a 75 for a three-round total of 215 and a tie for 22nd place.
Freshman Alex Nor?n completed his first collegiate tournament with a one-over 72 to tie for 29th at 216, while sophomore P?r Nilsson came in with a 78 during the final day to finish tied for 61st at 222.
Junior J.C. DeLeon rounded out the Cowboy lineup with a one-over 72 to finish four strokes behind Nilsson and in a tie for 81st.
OSU will return to action on March 8 when it travels to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Intercollegiate.
