"No decisions needed to be made. We were absolutely certain that we would be happy with Houston. There were a number of very attractive bowl opportunities we would have enjoyed participating in. We just got lucky that the bowl site that could mean more to our players picked us."

"We have always have enjoyed running into Oklahoma State people. It has been a real nice time for all of us that support this school. They have been very nice to me in a number of ways on campus, in and around town, going to the airport, it has been very fun for us at Oklahoma State."

"We won't practice because of finals until Saturday. We will start with some fundamental practices to get the team back in and going. It has been my experiences that with these bowl practices that everything comes back real quick."

"I think the team is in position to enjoy a big bowl berth and postseason victory. We are excited and look to finish with a victory. From this point forward I think our team is looking forward to some real ambitious goals."
On how to approach the bowl trip
"The most important part of any bowl trip is the game and the success and hopefully winning the game. I have been on a number of bowl trips myself as has my staff and everybody agrees that you don't remember those bowl trips that you finished second, you remember the trips you won."

"It's not that far a way from a lot of our guys hometowns so a lot of our family members can get to go. Houston is only three hours a way from my house and I have family in Houston so everybody is going to be there."
