Cowgirl Harriers To Compete In District V Championships

NORMAL, Ill. - Oklahoma State's women's cross country team will compete in Normal, Ill., Nov. 16, at the District V Championship. The Cowgirls will be vying for one of two regional automatic qualifying bids to the NCAA Championship.
Seniors Alexandra Lindquist and Michelle Simecka, juniors Marie Nilsson, Ami Butler, Sharalee Sparks and Joanna Fedick and sophomore Valentina Medina, will run for OSU. This will be Fedick and Simecka's first time to compete in the District V Championship.
Last year the Cowgirls won the District V title with former Cowgirl Siri Alfheim placing first individually and Lindquist, Nilsson and Medina placing 24th, 12th and 9th, respectively.
