Cowgirl Harriers Compete In Oklahoma Classic

TULSA, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's cross country team competed in the ORU Oklahoma Classic Saturday, Oct. 12th, on the campus of Oral Roberts University.
First-place honors were given to Pittsburg State University with a time of 19:19 and a total of 32 team points. Following close behind with second-place was ORU with a time of 20:02 and 34 points, while OSU claimed third place with a time of 22:29 and 60 points.
The Cowgirls improved on their performance in the Cowboy Jamboree, which was held in Stillwater on Sat., Oct. 5 , where they did not place. Juniors Catherine Clifford, Jo Anna Fedick, Lisa Bowles, Michelle Simecka and Lindsay Hall comprised the Cowgirl third-place team.
Clifford led the Cowgirl harriers with a seventh-place finish with Fedick, Bowles, Simecka and Hall close behind in 10th, 11th, 14th and 25th places, respectively.
The Cowgirls return to action on Sat., Oct. 19th when they travel to Fayetteville, Ark. to compete in the Chili Pepper cross country meet.
