Cowgirls Compete in the First Big Meet of the Year

LUBBOCK, Texas - Oklahoma State's women's indoor track and field team competed at the Red Raider Classic, in Lubbock, Texas over the weekend at the Texas Tech University Athletic Center.
Freshman Melissa Ndubilo qualified for the finals in the long jump with a distance of 5.26 meters. Her jump placed her ninth in the competition.
Alison Erzinger, a freshman from Houston, Texas, ran in the finals of the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.05 seconds. Her time was a personal best and put her in 11th place overall.
Freshman Janine Brown finished 11th in the mile with a time of 5:30.06, while Kristina Klos and Joanna Fedick finished 15th and 16th, respectively.
In the 800-meter run, Sara Kofoed edged teammate Svetlana Vasileva for ninth place with times of 2:26.57 and 2:26.94, respectively.
The Cowgirls will split their squad next weekend between the Adidas Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. and the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.
