Cowboy Track Takes Fourth at the Wildcat Invitational

Manhattan, Kan. - Oklahoma State's men's indoor track and field team took fourth place at the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan., on January 20.
The Pokes finished behind champion Nebraska, host school Kansas State and Wichita State. This marked the second week in a row the Cowboys have competed at Kansas State.
The Cowboys once again dominated the mile run by having the top four finishers. Jason Woolhouse broke the meet record with a time of 4:09.94. Former Cowboy Jon Wild set the record in 1996 with a time of 4:10.75. Ben Sigle followed Woolhouse with a time of 4:17.18. Sigle edged out teammate Ewen North who finished with a time of 4:17.51. Ben Lake placed fourth with a time of 4:18.53.
Jason Woolhouse also faired well in the 1,000-meter run. He finished third with a time of 2:28.56. Teammate Matt Thompson finished fourth with a time of 2:28.89.
Cowboy Seth Hawkins placed third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.33.
The team will next run in the Tyson Invitational on February 1-2 in Fayetteville, Ark.
