Cowgirls Shine in Colorado

BOULDER, Colo. - Oklahoma State's women's indoor track and field team had three first places finishes and a fourth place finish at the University of Colorado Invitational today.
Freshman Alison Erzinger won the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.14. It was the first collegiate race of her career. Erzinger is coming off of a knee injury that she suffered in the fall and proved she was fully recovered by blowing away the field.
Aurora, Colo. native Stephanie Duff won the long jump with a jump of 18'5." Duff competed in front of friends and family in Colorado.
"We believe Duff has the potential to become a collegiate All-American this year," assistant track coach Clint Whitaker said.
Maria Berggren won the triple jump with a distance of 38'3.5." Berggren was adjusting to the time zone after returning home from Sweden. Duff and Berggren both beat their competitors by two feet.
Melissa Ndubilo finished fourth in the long jump with a distance of 16'11." It was her first jump since November since she was rehabbing from a severely sprained ankle.
The Cowgirls will be traveling to Lubbock, Texas next week to compete at Texas Tech.
