* Aso Pogi's one-yard touchdown run in the first quarter broke a five-quarter scoreless streak for Oklahoma State. The score was the seventh touchdown run of his career.
* John Lewis' 38-yard grab was the longest of his OSU career breaking his previous long of 35 yards against Southern Miss.
* Tatum Bell's one-yard run in the first quarter was his first of the season and second of his career.
* Luke Phillips 50-yard field goal miss in the first quarter was the first miss of his career. He had made four straight before the wide right attempt. With his three field goals today, Phillips is now six-for-seven on the season.
* Bell rushed for a career high 109 yards on 20 carries (Bell had 97 yards at halftime, besting his previous mark of 90 yards set against Oklahoma last season.
* According to NCAA rules, Robbie Gillem's fourth quarter fumble recovery for a touchdown is credited as a recovery for zero yards. It was the first score of Gillem's career and the Cowboys first defense/special teams score of the season.
* Left tackle Kyle Eaton's streak of 18 consecutive starts, second best on the team entering tonight, was snapped. The last time he did not start was against Texas Tech in the fifth game of the 1999 season. (October 9)
* Louisiana Tech's 29 net rushing yards was the least amount of yards OSU has allowed since Southern Miss (32 rushes for -7 yards) on Sept. 23, 2000.
* Oklahoma State improves to 66-28-5 all-time in home openers, including six straight wins dating back to the 1995 campaign.
* Les Miles wins his first game as the head coach of the Cowboys. Rookie OSU coaches are now 7-4 in their home openers.
