Oklahoma State football fans are encouraged to line Hester Street from the Student Union to Lewis Field Saturday afternoon as the Cowboys start a new tradition and walk to the game.
The Cowboys open their home season against Louisiana Tech at 7 p.m., Saturday and will walk from the Student Union Hotel to Lewis Field at 4:45 p.m. Head Coach Les Miles initiated the new tradition that will take place prior to each OSU home game in 2001.
Coach Miles and the Cowboys will leave the Student Union from the east portico at 4:45 and walk north Hester Street. The Cowboys will enter Lewis Field through the west tunnel and proceed to the dressing room.
Also Saturday, Oklahoma State will be distributing commemorative tickets to every fan that attends the game against Louisiana Tech. The ticket commemorates the 100th season of Cowboy football and the start of the Les Miles era.
