* Rashaun Woods' 11-yard touchdown reception was the first scoring grab of his career and first touchdown via the air for the Cowboys this season.
* Woods set a new career high in receiving yards (144) and tied a career high with 10 catches. The yardage total was the 12th best single game total in OSU history. He has now caught two or more passes in 11 straight games and has 723 receiving yards in his career.
* Aso Pogi's 195 passing yards tonight vaulted him past Ronnie Williams (2,109), Charlie Weatherbie (2,215) and Dick Soergel (2,226) into ninth place on the OSU career passing yards list. He now has 2,286 passing yards in his career.
* OSU is 2-0 at home this season. The Cowboys are 8-0 against I-AA opponents dating back to the 1990 campaign. Oklahoma State has won eight straight games against teams from the state of Louisiana.
* Oklahoma State's 24 points offensively was a season high, surpassing the 23 scored against Louisiana Tech on Sept. 9.
* Marcus Jones' third quarter interception was his first pickoff of the season and third of his career. It was also NSU quarterback Craig Nall's first interception in 98 attempts this season.
* True freshman running back Greg Jones saw the first action of his career in the third quarter. OSU has now used five true freshmen this season (Billy Bajema, Cole Farden, Josh Fields and Darrent Williams are the others).
* Oklahoma State recorded its first shutout in 13 games (23-0 over Southwest Texas on Sept. 16, 2000). It was the first time Northwestern State was blanked in 16 games dating back to the 1999 campaign and only its second shutout in 83 games.
* Safety Chris Massey blocked his second punt of the season in the fourth quarter and sixth of his career.
