OSU Soccer Falls to Tulsa 1-0

EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's soccer team suffered its second setback of the season on Friday night, losing 1-0 to Tulsa before 250 fans at the Edmond Soccer Complex.
With the loss, OSU fell to 4-2-0 on the season, while the Golden Hurricane rose to 3-2-1.
Neither team was able to muster any offense until the game's 35th minute when TU forward Melissa McCormick was awarded a penalty kick. The senior took advantage, tucking her attempt inside the left post to provide the deciding goal.
The Cowgirls turned up the offensive pressure in the second half, pinning the Golden Hurricane in its own end for much of the half. However,OSU was unable to take capitalize on an 8-3 shot advantage in the period.
OSU also amassed nine corner kicks over the final 45 minutes while holding TU to none.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Sunday with a 3 p.m. contest against Oral Roberts in Edmond, Okla.
