TCU Slips Past Cowgirls in Exhibition Match, 1-0

TCU's women's soccer team scored a late goal to outlast Oklahoma State 1-0 in exhibition play on Sunday evening before 245 fans at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium in Ft. Worth, Texas.
The two teams battled to a standstill until Horned Frog forward Nicole Carman converted the game winner with just over three minutes left in regulation. Cara Toulouse and Tiffany Goetz registered assists on the play.
The Cowgirls suffered the loss despite outshooting the Horned Frogs by a 12-9 margin and taking four more corner kicks than the home team.
Junior Kat Doud played the full 90 minutes in goal for OSU, stopping five shots on the night. Shannon Wagner went the distance in net for TCU, tallying four saves.
The Cowgirls will open the regular season on Friday night when they host East Central at 7 p.m. at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex in Stillwater.
