Oklahoma State went through its first major scrimmage of the preseason Thursday morning as the Cowboys continue to prepare for their September 1 opener at Southern Mississippi.
The Cowboys were scheduled for another workout Thursday afternoon before wrapping up two-a-days with a pair of practices on Friday.
Thursday morning's scrimmage lasted just over two hours and featured work by all units. The first team offense scored on its initial possession that included a 57-yard completion from Aso Pogi to Rashaun Woods.
Head Coach Les Miles said he was generally pleased with Thursday's results. "I really liked the way we competed out there today," Miles said. "We're not ready to play a game but I thought we accomplished some things."
Oklahoma State's preseason practice schedule includes a pair of workouts Friday. The morning session (open to the public) is scheduled to begin at 8:30 on Lewis Field. The afternoon workouts will begin at 3:45 and is closed to the public.
