Oklahoma State continued its preseason ritual of two daily football workouts with a pair of full-pad sessions Tuesday in Stillwater.
First-year head coach Les Miles and staff put the Cowboys through a two-hour workout Tuesday morning on the artificial surface of Lewis Field. The Cowboys were scheduled for another two-hour workout Tuesday afternoon on the grass practice fields.
It was the second-day of full pad workouts for the Cowboys and Coach Miles said the daily routine of preparing is going forward. "There is a lot of instruction going on but the tempo has been good. We're getting some things accomplished but there is still a lot of work to do before September 1," Miles said.
Freshman quarterback Josh Fields donned gear for Tuesday morning's workout. Fields underwent hernia surgery just over a week ago. He is expected to be at or near full speed in a week or so.
OSU will continue two-a-day workouts through Friday with morning sessions open to the public and afternoon or evening sessions closed to both the media and public. The Cowboys are schedule to stage a major scrimmage on Lewis Field Saturday at 11 a.m., and it will be open to the public.
